Scott was born and raised in Bakersfield. He graduated from West H.S., Bakersfield College, and CSU Bakersfield, before going to law school at Pepperdine University School of Law.
He returned to Bakersfield after graduating from law school in 1998.
After working at the Kern County Public Defender’s office for a year, he went into private practice, where he felt he could do the most good.
Scott is also a Judge Pro Tem in Kern County Superior Court.
While he is well-versed in many areas of the law, such as Family, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury, Scott has focused on Bankruptcy and Social Security Disability.
Scott has personally filed thousands of cases, and can’t go anywhere without saying “hi” to existing and former clients.
Scott is known for his calm, friendly, and reassuring manner.
Personally, Scott is married, has three great kids, a Pug named “Co-Pilot”, and is an instrument-rated private pilot.
